First identified in the GeekBench catalog, codenamed XT2125, the Motorola G100 (aka Nio) is the international version of the Motorola Edge S series. With a look almost identical to the Asian model, the G100 offers a 90 Hz FullHD + screen, based on an LCD panel without curved edges. It stretches on a 6.7-inch diagonal and is perforated for two front cameras. The main one, wide has a resolution of 16 MP, and the secondary one, ultra-wide has an 8 MP sensor. The phone supports video capture up to 6K resolution. Organized in a module similar to that on iPhones, the main camera is based on a 64MP sensor, assisted by an ultra-wide 16MP camera and 2MP DoF sensor.
The configuration based on Snapdragon 870 will be available in three equipment variants, with 6GB / 8GB / 12 GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB internal storage. All this at a price of 400-500 euros, depending on the equipment chosen. Among the features confirmed based on the presentation images is the "Google Assistant" key positioned on the left side of the case. At least two color versions, blue and white, are taken from the Edge S series, possibly using slightly different shades.
Motorola G100 uses a 5,000 mAh battery, with fast charging within the 20W power limit, delivered via USB-C cable. If the price is maintained, the Motorola G100 could be one of the best budget flagships available to European consumers.
