NVIDIA has officially announced a new series of PC graphics cards, GeForce RTX 3000. This series of graphics cards will include three top models in this range: GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080 and GeForce RTX 3090, the most powerful in this series , with twice the performance of the previous generation. The new GeForce RTX 3080, launching first on September 17, 2020. Powered by Ampere, NVIDIA’s 2nd gen RTX architecture, GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards feature faster 2nd gen Ray Tracing Cores, faster 3rd gen Tensor Cores, and new streaming multiprocessors that together bring stunning visuals, faster frame rates, and AI acceleration for gamers and creators.

RTX 3080 will offer a rasterization GPU capable of 30 Shader-TFLOP, an improvement of 2.7 times over the previous generation, Ray Tracing cores capable of 58 RT-TFLOPS, 1.7 times higher performance, respectively 238 Tensor-TFLOPS on AI cores, 2x higher performance. The graphics card will be equipped with 10 GB of GDDR6X memory from Micron, the fastest current memory and will benefit from a new two-axis cooling system, which will cool 20 degrees better than the RTX 2000 generation system and a noise level produced three times lower. The graphics card will be compatible with HDMI 2.1 and PCI Express 4.0 standards.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - a real best-buy, according to its specifications. And the GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card is equipped with an Ampere chip, but with limited performance but better than RTX 2080 Ti in some games and will offer a performance of 20 Shader-TFLOPS, 40 RT-TFLOPS and 163 Tensor-TFLOPS, with 8 GB GDDR6 memory. This graphics card has a traditional cooling system with two adjacent fans and will be available starting in October.

GeForce RTX 30 Series Graphics Cards: The Essential Specs
Starting September 17th, NVIDIA will release the GeForce RTX 3090, GeForce RTX 3080, and GeForce RTX 3070:
GeForce RTX 3000 series - Specifications
The performance of the new GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards is made possible by the combination of state-of-the-art technology and over two decades of gaming research and graphics development. Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs) are at the heart of NVIDIA GPUs, and the newest NVIDIA Ampere Streaming Multiprocessors are the best. Compared to previous-gen SMs on the Turing-architecture GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, new NVIDIA Ampere Architecture SMs offer 2x FP32 throughput for superior performance.

GDDR6X - The fastest graphics memory in the world. Memory maker Micron launches its new GDDR6X memory on GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080. GDDR6X uses innovative PAM4 signal transmission technology to double the clock rate again, delivering unprecedented graphics memory performance to power most hungry work tasks such as games, professional visualization and AI inference. These enhancements ensure that the GPU's kernels and other components receive a steady stream of data, maximizing efficiency and performance.
The attributes of GeForce RTX 3080 are amazing, the graphics card will probably be in the top of the best graphics cards for 4K games. GeForce RTX 3080 offers frame rates between 60 and 100 FPS for games such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Metro Exodus or others, at a 4K resolution with maximum settings.

GeForce RTX 30 Series Founders Edition graphics cards will be available on nvidia.com when graphics cards are launched on the GeForce RTX 3090, GeForce RTX 3080 and GeForce RTX 3070 landing pages. Source: nvidia.com
